MEET THE ARTIST
Ennio Valente (also known as "Billy Bob"to his friends) HAD aspirations of being a cosmetic dentist, but his love of music lead him to a profession of being an accomplished musician, songwriter and composer. Due to lack of sales, he had no financial resources to fix his teeth and didn't have funds to have them replaced with false teeth.
Many of the instruments used for art were PERFECTLY good instruments. He can legally claim they were damaged. The Artist loves to eat and has an insatiable appetite for candy, crackers, ice cream and sometimes food from his crock pot. In spite of having so many exhibits, he doesn't want to sell his instruments and that caused a lack of income for food. He resorted to eating guitar picks, metal guitar strings and also the tuners. This diet eventually took its toll on his teeth. Ennio repaired the damage after his belly was full and brought a new dimension of “life” to the instrument through artistic transformation. The collection of stringed instruments are not a Food Source. The Art Enthusiast should look closely and may find one of Ennio's teeth imbedded in the assemblage. Also of mention is the intricacy of the fine tuners used on some of the instruments. Ennio developed and patented his own collection of tuners. His unique style is the Artist's signature for the new Toe-sie Collection whereby every instrument in this Collection has a part of the artist. Ennio pulled out his own toenails, painted them white & used a special toenail hardner to enable the tuners to be as durable as the original tuners. These instruments are not playable. The intricately of the Toe-sie Collection have the patented Toe-sie Tuners which add a special touch to the beautiful art.
